Despite the legal problems, I take both kids to their first day of school in my EV. This and other rides indicate to me that I'm not done yet. Not by a long shot.

At last, the Silent E moves! Just a few quick runs around the block, with charging in between, to break in the batteries. Then on to the tax collector -- to fight the Red Tape Monster.

We call that sensation of accomplishment and fun the "EV Grin" because it happens every time you drive your new conversion. I just took my first drive in my new EV!

Today was supposed to be the Silent E's maiden voyage. It took a lot of effort and a last-minute drive to the local surplus shop, but we got the wheels to spin. Unfortunately, they spun backwards.
